Umstead Family papers
The Bible was printed in 1892 in Durham, North Carolina, by T. J. Gattis & Son. One of the pages at the front feature an inscription by Hampton Umstead to his daughter Claude. The family records portion of the Bible was removed sometime before it was donated. The bank receipts cover 1908 thru 1926 and are with many businesses that were in Durham at the time, such as S.T. Mangum's General Merchandise and W.A. Slater and Co.

USO Club scrapbook
The USO Club Scrapbook, 1943-1944, consists of newspaper clippings, photographs, and invitations documenting the history of the Dillard Street USO.
Violet Park Cemetery correspondence
The collection includes correspondence from historian R. Kelly Bryant to the Durham County Library and North Carolina State Archives, listings of more than 1,900 burials recorded at Violet Park Cemetery compiled by Carrie McNair, and two related newspaper clippings.
Walk and Talk Club records
The collection consists of newspaper clippings, photographs, brochures, correspondence, roll books, attendance cards, and meeting minutes. Of particular interest, the collection includes periodic brochures listing the club’s roster, as well as photographs of members. There are also a few short biographies, photographs, and pieces of correspondence relating directly to the death of W.E. Stanley on July 16, 1967.
Mamie Dowd Walker scrapbook
Photocopied scrapbook consisting primarily of newspaper clippings that concern Mamie Dowd Walker's 1942 to 1945 service as juvenile judge of Durham County.
Laura Valinda Watts memorial program
The collection consists of a sixteen-page booklet with a tied thread binding from a memorial program for Laura Valinda Watts. The booklet includes a glossy photo page with an overlay page of tissue or vellum and measures 6.5 by 9.5 inches.
Bailey Daniel Webb papers
This collection documents Webb's role as a member of the Board of Trustees of Wright Refuge, and the relationship between Wright Refuge and the Wright School. Correspondence forms the bulk of the material, but the collection also includes research files, news clippings, and Wright School publications and newsletters, as well as summaries of events compiled by Webb in the late 1990s.

Ernest R. Williamson papers
The collection documents E. R. Williamson's life and work, including speeches made during his congressional campaign, writings, folders of campaign notes and clippings, and photographs. The bulk of the collection documents his run to represent North Carolina's Sixth District in Congress in 1950.
Thomas Womble papers
This collection includes photographs taken at the Lyon Park Community Center and at "We Are West End" reunions in the 1990s and photographs of Elite Club teams from Lyon Park, including the softball and baseball teams from the 1940s and 1950s. There is also a folder of materials relating to the history of Lyon Park School that date from 2003, when the Community Family Life Center at Lyon Park opened. Notes from an oral history done with Womble in 2006 are also included in the collection.

The Woodcroft Women's Club Records, 1987-2015, contains meeting minutes of board members and general members, newsletters and newspaper articles.
World War I 113th Field Artillery Battery C roster
The collection consists of a roster listing all who trained as Battery C of the 113th Field Artillery, whose members were from Durham, North Carolina.
World War II Scrapbooks
These seven scrapbooks were compiled by Mr. and Mrs. M.W. Cannon, Mr. and Mrs. George Lougee, and Miss Frances Barnette whose stated intent was to include photographs of all white servicemen and servicewomen from the Durham area beginning January 1, 1943 through the end of the war. Each volume is indexed separately, but this guide contains a combined index, arranged alphabetically by last name or subject. An article on the project is located in Volume 5, p. 5. The clippings are not dated.
