John P. Bond III papers
Durham County Government slides and photographs
The collection includes slides and photographs of Durham County commissioners, services and buildings, including many schools in the Durham City School system before the county and city school system merged. The collection also includes photographs and slides from the Old North Durham Neighborhood Improvement Project and work done by the nonprofit organization Neighborhood Housing Services in the late 1970s and 1980s to renovate houses and apartment buildings in Old North Durham.
Dallas W. Newsom and Dorothy Newsom Rankin Family papers
This collection contains clippings, subject files, printed materials, postcards, scrapbooks and miscellaneous manuscropts, ephemera, and artifacts collected by Dallas W. Newsom, Durham county manager in 1930s and 1940s, and his daughter, civic leader and local historian and preservationist Dorothy Newsom Rankin.
E. S. Swindell papers
The collection includes a 1956 appraisal report of the former Durham County Sanitarium with photographs of the exterior and interior, what appear to be records of late 1950's donations from county employees including Swindell, a 1974 plan for Durham City Hall, and a 1979 letter from health department employees requesting Swindell's assistance.
