Scope and Contents

The collection includes standard administrative records of the auxiliary, including annual reports (“histories”) and annual yearbooks. Of particular note are the documents from auxiliary’s biography project, which sought to gather biographies for all doctors who practiced in Durham or Orange counties.

Orange County account ledger and other materials

Scope and Contents The ledger book was found by the donor in a locked filing cabinet in a shed on their property off Latta Road in Durham. The ledger details accounts of residents of what was Orange County at the time and includes many well known early Durham families such as the Lattas, Rigsbees, Mangums, Holloways, and Leighs.
